Every great mission is born from a compelling story, and the foundation of W.D. Gafs LLC is built on the Gafs family's journey from brokenness to unwavering faith.  For decades this patriarch lived a life of quiet integrity, great leadership success in his career, and being known for his tireless prayer and commitment to biblical values. His service was traditional: rooted in honesty, compassion, and acknowledgement of parts of himself that needed improvement. His community found solace in his even-toned wisdom, a guiding light of consistency and respect. Using every day of the week as a surrender to humanness, he laid the moral groundwork in his life, his family, his church and in his successful career. He had a ritual to grow closer to his creator that he did daily, and without fail.  He taught his family, his employees and coworkers, his church fellowship and their children this weekly transformative process.

W.D. also adored his two children, but their paths deviated sharply from his own. His eldest, Double-U-D (Dub), faced years of crippling addiction and despair, vanishing from his family’s life. In 2016, at his lowest point—homeless and near death—Dub experienced a profound transformation. A divine voice spoke to him, cutting through the darkness: "Dub, my son, this is not your end, it is your new beginning. Go out and serve your fellow man."

This moment of redemption ignited a relentless, and raw journey back to his faith.  He began his "spiritual come back” by committing to the 12-steps.  After a couple of years of building a firm foundation, he mimicked his father’s weekly ritual and his world exploded into another dimension and that is when he discovered his mission. This mission was cemented in 2019 when his sister, D.G., reached a similar crisis point, suffering from years riddled with depression and anxiety. She listened to a voice that urged her to call Dub, telling her, "You are the gift your brother needs. His mission will be realized in your healing." When D.G. called her estranged brother, all he said was, “I know.”

The family was made whole, united by the understanding that true purpose often emerges from profound struggle. W.D. and Dub realized the very fabric of community was tearing apart. The political noise and isolation were drowning out the divine. They fell to their knees repeatedly, asking for a way forward. The answer came as a directive: "Go out and help heal my people. Sew them back into the fabric of my image. This is your path. This is your purpose." The message was clear: “While many speak, few are heard in a new era of such distraction. They hear you”.

This is the "Why" of W.D. Gafs LLC. The combination of the unwavering integrity of the Father (W.D.) with the unrefined, transformative power of the Son (Dub) to meet people where they are is where the rest of the journey began.

We are here to mend the broken, restore the lost, grow the leaders, discover one’s talents, restore the innocence of youth and heal a nation—one person at a time no matter where you are in your spiritual journey.
